Newcastle 365: Week 11

And just like that, I’m done with my first term of grad school. What? Already? I can hardly believe it.

My mom asked me a while back if I’ve learned anything worth the amount I’m paying for tuition. The answer is a resounding YES!! I could sit here and bore you all to tears with a detailed list of everything I’ve learned, but I’ll spare you–unless you want to know, in which case, I would love to share! Instead, I’ll just say that it’s so gratifying to feel so excited about what I’m learning. Don’t get me wrong, I loved my undergraduate studies at BYU, but this is even better. I feel like I’ve finally found something that resonates with my soul. I learn new things and get teary eyed because it just makes me so happy–not even kidding. It’s downright embarrassing, but at the same time, I feel like Buddy the Elf bursting into the conference room and shouting, “I’m in love, I’m in love, and I don’t care who knows it!”

So while I have the entire month of December to go on grand adventures (when I’m not working on the paper I have due in January), I will be looking forward to January, when second term starts and I can learn more amazing things.

Life is good.
