Clark’s Fork

A few weeks before the end of the summer, I had the opportunity to go to the backcountry with my friends Wally and Cameron. We headed up to Clark’s Fork, one of Philmont‘s horse camps. It was a gorgeous evening, and the sky could not be outdone.

With my work schedule and my religious beliefs (I prefer not to hike on Sundays to keep the Sabbath Day holy), it’s sometimes hard for me to find opportunities to get out to the backcountry during the summer. Every time I do is a treat.

When we headed back to basecamp, the sunset over the Tooth of Time was just spectacular. What a fitting end to a beautiful evening.

      1. Thank you! One of the things I love most about Philmont (and NM in general) is that absolutely everywhere you look, there is something beautiful to see. It is never boring. 🙂
